Tickets now on sale! Click Here for more info

After almost 10 years and nearly 1000 shows, Melbourne power trio
Antiskeptic have decided to finish their incredible journey this
September.
And what a journey it has been!
Formed in the back of a record store in 1999, the band quickly rose
to prominence through the strength of their energetic live shows
and acclaimed recorded material.
Hard working and independent, the band self financed numerous
EP’s and Albums including ‘Memoirs of a Common Man’ (2001),
‘Aurora’ (2003) and ‘Monuments’ (2006).
Having toured with the likes of Midnight Oil, Jimmy Eat World,
Dashboard Confessional and Unwritten Law, the band also took
great pride in fostering new talent, taking younger groups such as
Gyroscope, Kisschasy, After The Fall and I Killed The Prom Queen
on some of their first ever touring experiences!
To celebrate the band and it’s amazing career, Antiskeptic will be
giving punters one final chance to see them in action with farewell
concert’s planned for Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
As a special thank you to fans, the boys have hit the studio to
record the previously unreleased, live favorite “I’ll Follow”, and will
offer it as a free download from their myspace page in early
August.
The song is classic Antiskeptic and will serve as a fine closing
chapter on one of our country’s premier rock acts.

HYPE Festival @ The Bridge - Wrap Up

April 14th, 2008

Playjerise2008 for The Bridge kicked off with a huge event on Saturday 5th April at Dural Baptist Church (aka Dural Sport and Leisure Centre). After a successful string of concerts in 2007 The Bridge took a plunge, teaming up with Baulkham Hills Shire Council’s youth board to put on their annual HYPE Festival. The event opened with local bands hitting the outdoor stage at 11am, surrounded by market stalls, an underground skate arena, food stalls and rides. The Red Bull beetle made an appearance as well as Fruit of the Spirit (FOS) who made their debut at the festival, selling preloved, vintage clothing, accessories and other miscellaneous items. Stay tuned for any future appearances at The Bridge and other local events. 11am also opened our x-box zone that would command and conquer until game over at 3pm.

By noon the crowds began to swell, moving inside to check out the information stalls that promoted healthy living and giving back to the community, supporting National Youth Week’s theme of Shout, Share, Live, Unite. Also inside, festival goers could sit back and relax with a nice cup of coffee or a meat pie at the Sideline Café. The chillaxed atmosphere of the café was only to be enhanced come 1pm as Simon Williams, Jenna, Reverent X and Almost a Trio brought some soothing tunes to our acoustic stage.

Fly WallWith the outdoor stage still pumping, local youths hurling themselves at the fly wall and skaters trying to outdo each other in our underground skate arena the main stage was gearing up for a huge line up of local and interstate artists. At 3.30pm, fresh from the Blue Mountains, Playjerise graced the stage drawing in the crowds with their easy acoustic melodies. Sienna Skies took the volume up a notch before Lukas rocked out. Headliner Getaway Plan did not disappoint, playing all their crowd pleasers and rounding off an explosive HYPE Festival.

Over 1500 youth, 15 music acts, 3 stages, 80 volunteers and 3 months of planning later, HYPE Festival @ The Bridge was a huge success hinting at an amazing year for The Bridge in 2008. Don’t miss it.
