Band Profiles
New Empire
New Empire is a fresh rock?pop band that washed up on the shores of Southern Sydney,
Australia.
Since their formation the four boys have constantly been experimenting and fusing different
musical styles to create their original and powerful brand of music. Music that has drawn
people from far and wide, consistently selling out venues across the east coast of Australia.
2008 has seen the boys; Jeremy, Pete, Sam and Kale perform with international superstars Newsboys and USA band Ivoryline. The band has also been a feature at the Queensland music festival Easterfest (Australia’s
largest drug & alcohol free event) and a headline act at both NSW’s Big Exo Day (which has hosted USA band
Switchfoot) and Blackstump Music Festival.
Their high energy and powerful live show combined with their heart?felt and honest music makes New Empire one of Sydney’s most popular new bands. Awoe magazine has described New Empire as “the essentials of the rock pop culture” and this is clearly echoed by thousands of teenage fans across the country.

Antiskeptic
After almost 10 years and nearly 1000 shows, Melbourne power trio Antiskeptic have decided to finish their incredible journey this
September. And what a journey it has been!
Formed in the back of a record store in 1999, the band quickly rose to prominence through the strength of their energetic live shows
and acclaimed recorded material.
Hard working and independent, the band self financed numerous EP’s and Albums including ‘Memoirs of a Common Man’ (2001),
‘Aurora’ (2003) and ‘Monuments’ (2006).
Having toured with the likes of Midnight Oil, Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional and Unwritten Law, the band also took great pride in fostering new talent, taking younger groups such as Gyroscope, Kisschasy, After The Fall and I Killed The Prom Queen on some of their first ever touring experiences!
To celebrate the band and it’s amazing career, Antiskeptic will be
giving punters one final chance to see them in action with farewell
concert’s planned for Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.
As a special thank you to fans, the boys have hit the studio to
record the previously unreleased, live favorite “I’ll Follow”, and will
offer it as a free download from their myspace page in early
August.
The song is classic Antiskeptic and will serve as a fine closing
chapter on one of our country’s premier rock acts.
Forgiven Rival
FORGIVEN RIVAL are pushing themselves to the forefront of Australia’s music scene with talent, confidence and an unbeatable stage show.
Anchored in the aggression of bands like Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying while channelling the pop sensibility of Story of the Year and Cartel, Forgiven Rival create a captivating sound all their own.
They have been working hard, playing more than any of their scene counterparts and raising their profile by sharing the stage with Parkway Drive, MXPX (USA), Silverstein (USA), Boys Night Out (CAN), Project 86 (USA), Behind Crimson Eyes, Carpathian, The Getaway Plan, House Vs Hurricane and many more.
2008 saw the release of their Debut Album “This Is A War” through the breakout Label El Shaddai Records. This Powerful & Dynamic release has catapulted them in the right direction as they continue their entry into the music stratosphere, both in Australia and across the globe.
Buckle up…you won’t want to miss the ride.
The Gateway Plan
No one can dispute the amount of noise THE GETAWAY PLAN have made in 2007. Between countless tours including national supports for both The Used and My Chemical Romance, the band took a 3-month trip to Florida to record their debut album “Other Voices, Other Rooms”, with US super-producer James Paul Wisner (Underoath, New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional). The intense recording session has already produced the Channel V and Triple J hit single “Streetlight”, and the forthcoming single “Where The City Meets the Sea”, which the band debuted on MTV’s Live at the Lair program earlier this year.
But 2008 promises to be an even bigger year for the young Melbourne quartet, as they gear up for the February 9 release of their debut album “Other Voices, Other Rooms” via Boomtown Records. The album will no doubt become one of the most surprising releases of 2008, proving a maturity in songwriting that most bands dream to achieve.

Lukas
Lukas was birthed out of inner restlessness… out of the pins and needles feeling of not wanting to be just another rock band… I want to make music outside the walls…
Music I believe in… Music I Love… Void of clashing opinions… Colliding Egos…Or the fear of all the sweat and tears evaporating right in front pf my eyes… LUKAS
Thinks the way I think… Talks the way I talk… It’s with me where ever I go… and I think if anything in life is going to be truely worthwhile, then it has to be that close… It has to be part of you…
Lukas is a sound that is always evolving… It’s not melodies and it’s not lyrics… It’s a heart that has loved outside of formulas… A heart that has heard the accolade of men and found it to be emptier than most would imagine…One that has seen the valley of shadows and learned to not be afraid… It’s less about being heard and more about hearing…It’s less about being seen, and more about seeing…
